This was a fantastic experience. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, passionate about these birds, and very engaging. All of the birds of prey on site are either too injured or too acclimated to humans to be safe in the wild--they are careful to return other raptors to the wild whenever possible. The flight demonstration was very enjoyable, and I especially loved the diverse group of owls on the premises. I learned a lot about how to protect raptors in the wild and have a new appreciation for these beautiful birds!
The staff did an excellent job of showing the birds, along with very good information about each. I highly recommend a visit to this facility. They do excellent work for the environment and protection of birds of prey.
This place is amazing and it seems as though they are highly passionate about their mission to help birds and educate the public. Decided to take a day off from Folly Beach during vacation and I'm so glad we did. Well worth the time and the drive out there.
Natural environment. Home to avian variety that are rescued or rehabilitated. Shows were available to watch, some interact with crowd.
Thanks, staff.
